Ayurveda is the 5,000 year old healing system of India which does not separate body, mind and soul. Healing herbs are used to produce therapeutic oils used for a variety of purposes. A wonderful morning routine is Abhyanga, or self-massage. It gets the blood flowing as the herbed oils nourish and hydrate the skin. A tiny quarter-sized amount in the palm of your hand is enough for each of the body sections: legs, arms, belly and chest, back.
